1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how MicroJoyz (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our desktop app, website, or related services including MicroJoyz+ (the AI support feature). By using MicroJoyz, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the app and contact us if you have any questions.

2. Information We Collect
We only collect information needed to run MicroJoyz safely and improve your experience.

a) Account and Profile Information
Name, email address, or other details you choose to provide.
Optional personal traits or preferences shared through onboarding or chats (e.g. goals, motivation, personality type).

b) App Data
Progress data, saved goals, AI “memories,” and in-app settings.
Device type, operating system, and usage logs (for troubleshooting and analytics).

c) Payment Information
Payments are processed securely by Stripe or Apple. We do not store your full card details. Stripe may retain limited billing details in line with their Privacy Policy.

d) Cookies and Analytics
We use Google Analytics and similar tools to understand website traffic and usage patterns. Cookies may store basic data such as session identifiers and preferences. Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom (UK) have the right to object to or restrict certain types of processing, and by default analytical cookies are disabled.

3. How We Use Your Information
Operate and improve MicroJoyz and MicroJoyz+.
Personalise your experience (e.g. remembering preferences or AI context).
Process payments and manage subscriptions.
Communicate with you about updates, support, or offers.
Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or technical problems.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

4. How AI and Memory Data Work
MicroJoyz+ includes an AI support feature that can remember details you share to offer a more personal experience. Data such as memories, personality traits, or goals are stored securely in Supabase. These memories are not used to train any external AI model. You can request that your memories and personal data be deleted at any time by emailing team@microjoyz.com. Please avoid sharing sensitive information such as your home address, financial details, or medical records in chats.

5. Data Storage and Security
All user data is stored using Supabase’s secure cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit and protected by role-based access controls. While we take every reasonable precaution, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute protection from unauthorised access, loss, or breaches. If a data breach occurs, affected users will be notified in line with Australian Privacy Act requirements and applicable international laws.

6. International Users
MicroJoyz operates from Australia, but data may be processed in other countries (including Singapore, where our servers are located). By using MicroJoyz, you consent to this international transfer of your information. We follow principles consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), the EU GDPR, and the California CCPA to ensure fair and lawful data handling.

7. Children’s Privacy
The main MicroJoyz app is suitable for anyone over the age of 5 years of age. However, MicroJoyz+ (AI) is intended only for users aged 13 and above, or the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes their child has provided information, they should contact us immediately for deletion.

8. User-Generated Content and Messaging
MicroJoyz may include features that allow users to send or receive messages (for example, the “Portal” feature). While we encourage kindness and positivity, we cannot control or monitor every message sent by users. MicroJoyz is not responsible for any user-generated content that is rude, offensive, or inappropriate. Users who abuse messaging features may have their access revoked.

9. Your Rights
You have the right to: access a copy of your personal data; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your data and AI memories; and withdraw consent to certain data uses (such as marketing emails). To exercise these rights, email team@microjoyz.com. We will respond to all requests within a reasonable time and comply with applicable laws.

10. Data Retention
We keep your data only for as long as needed to operate the service. If you delete your account or request deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our systems as soon as reasonably possible.
